When two charming bachelors invent alter egos to escape social obligations, their double lives spiral into a whirlwind of mistaken identities, sharp wit, and Victorian absurdity. Elegant, irreverent, and endlessly quotable, this beloved classic proves that in matters of love, it is always vital to be earnest.
