At the end of 2025, Wahiawa’s own Ryugen Taiko celebrated 10 years of teaching and performing taiko in Hawaiʻi. Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of sharing the art of taiko through performance, education, and community engagement.On behalf of the Ryugen Taiko members, we invite you to celebrate this milestone with us at our 10th Anniversary Concert on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Royal Hawaiian Band Performance

The Royal Hawaiian Band, established in 1836 by King Kamehameha III, is known as the "King's Band" and has a long tradition of sharing Hawaiʻi's music with the world. The band performs free concerts on the ʻIolani Palace Grounds most Fridays from noon to 1 p.m. Its mission is to promote and foster music, preserve Hawaiian musical culture, inspire young musicians, and enrich the lives of the people of Hawaiʻi.
