Kailua Town Party

Get ready to celebrate Kailua’s biggest event of the year: the 31 st “I Love Kailua” Town Party, presented by the Lani-Kailua Outdoor Circle, taking place on Kailua Road in Windward Oahu from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2026. A favorite feature of this signature community block-party in downtown Kailua is the array of food booths with flavorful specialties, from shave ice and malasadas to plate lunch and more. The Town Party is also an opportunity to enjoy shopping, great entertainment, and family fun. Over 75 Windward artists and handcrafters will showcase their work for sale; there will be plant and orchid sales; and the popular “I Love Kailua” logo booth with limited-edition apparel. Many Kailua merchants will hold instore and sidewalk sales plus offer specials to those presenting their Town Party event buttons. Partygoers also can look forward to non-stop live center-stage entertainment; the Kamaʻaina Kids keiki fun zone; Adventist Health Castle’s mini health fair with free screenings; and a variety of Windward community groups with information to share. Residents are encouraged to leave their cars at home and walk or bicycle to the pedestrian- friendly event. The 2026 Kailua Town Party is a fundraiser presented by the nonprofit Lani-Kailua Outdoor Circle (LKOC) and supported by Alexander & Baldwin. All proceeds from the event go back into the Kailua community through LKOC’s many beautification and tree planting projects. LKOC is proud to be celebrating its 78 th Anniversary this year, where for over seven decades, it has, been committed to enhancing the livability of Kailua through beautification, tree planting, environmental advocacy, and educational outreach. For more information about the 2026 “I Love Kailua” Town Party, please visit www.LKOC.org or contact Amy Hammond at (808) 223-6040. Follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/LaniKailuaOutdoorCircle or Instagram at instagram.com/LaniKailuaOutdoorCircle. “In keeping with our mission of planting for the future, proceeds from this year’s Town Party will support our ongoing landscape maintenance and street tree planting projects in Kailua, which include the Kailua Central Triangle, in the heart of Kailua, the Kailua Road median, as you enter Kailua’s business district, and the Pali Palms traffic triangle at the start of Kalaheo Avenue. With last year’s proceeds we were able to plant an arbor of trees along Keolu Drive and have additional projects planned for the coming year, including possibly resuming landscape maintenance of the recently completed Kalapawai Roundabout, a site we maintained for years, prior to the reconstruction there. We are proud to provide these services to the community”, said LKOC President Diane Harding. **EVENT DAY ROAD CLOSURE ADVISORY:** The event will close all traffic lanes/sidewalk areas on Kailua Road on April 26, from Hahani St. to Kuulei Rd., fronting Whole Foods, the Maui Brewing Company, and Kailua Shopping Center. Traffic will be diverted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please plan accordingly. Kailua - residents are strongly encouraged to walk or bicycle to the event. Attendees can park in the three-hour parking in the three floors of parking in the lot fronting Longs, enter from Hahani Street, near Teddy’s Bigger Burgers.
