Born in the US, but raised in Japan by a single mother, Kazuo bounced from house to house, school to school, from Yokohama to New York City, never knowing what it feels like to simply, belong. The Black & Japanese producer/artist began his music journey while in university, performing at local open mics and showcases. After the underground buzz of his debut mixtape AKUMA, Kazuo moved back to Yokohama to continue his journey in the Japanese scene which then led to a deal with Warner Music Japan. As of now, Kazuo operates alone. Not feeling the need to conform nor appeal to any specific demographic. Only to feel more alienated by the scene. This is Kazuo.
