Inspired by the once-banned 1891 play by Frank Wedekind, Spring Awakening bursts to life with a bold book and lyrics by Steven Sater and a driving score by Duncan Sheik. Winner of eight Tony Awards and a Grammy for its original cast album, this musical reshaped modern theatre. It’s raw. It’s fearless. It sings what can’t be spoken. Every note, every line, every heartbeat reminds us why theatre matters: to challenge, to connect, to ignite.

HeART Strut Community Art Playshops

**Create a fun, fabulous, wearable-art headdress, then show it off at HeART Strut 2026. Drop in any time before 2pm to start making.** These community playshops are warm ups for the HeART Strut Community Procession at the HEART of Honolulu Festival on April 11, 2026. Come out and strut your stuff in your unique creation as we stroll along Nuʻuanu Avenue at 12:30pm and again at 2:30pm $10 per adult/session. Children 8+ free. Each child must be accompanied by 1 adult (1:1 ratio). Templates available or create your own design. All materials provided. Feel free to bring and use up some of your arts & crafts hoard, except for glitter.

Art & Collectibles Pop-up - Friends of the Library of Hawaiʻi

Friends of the Library of Hawaiʻi (FLH) is bringing back the *Art & Collectibles Pop-up* at Ward Centre. The *Art & Collectibles Pop-up* is located across the FLH bookstore,*Village Books & Music*, and will run March 7 through April 2. It will be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10am - 4pm. It will be closed on Mondays. The pop-up will feature more than 200 pieces of the art, including paintings, prints, photographs, textiles, ceramics and lacquerware. It will also be stocked with curiosities and collectibles, including model sets, vintage LIFE magazines, posters, and dolls, rare books, and more. The pop-up will feature many new pieces, and more inventory will be added throughout the six weeks. We recommend coming back often to check out what’s new. The *Art & Collectibles Pop-up* is a fundraiser for Hawaiʻi’s 51 public libraries.
